Geotextiles

Geotextiles are flat geosynthetics, usually made of polypropylene or polyester fibers, mechanically or thermally joined.

Geotextile is used as reinforcement and separation of weak base of embankments.

Geotextiles are used to make separating layers between soils or aggregates, base layers supporting the soil under geogrids, geogrids, gabions. They are used in the construction of reinforced slopes and embankments. They are also used to cover drainage systems. They protect geomembrane seals against mechanical damage.

We divide them into:

  • Filtration geotextiles
  • Separation and filtration geotextiles
  • Two-layer geotextiles
  • Protective geotextiles
